Guided Aim is just what it sounds like. A focused approach by a trained expert in a particular area of need. Our difference is motivational support a-al coaching. Coaching form the point of view where you get recommended approaches but you shoot the ball. If it doesn't fall through the hoop we don't give up on you we evaluate fundamental flows or attributions to poor performance.
The game determine . study. If SphereUs trained guides (we prefer guide to tutor; which is proven more effective highlight w/ link to box that opens with the study and data/proof).
In addition to seeing the right approach as the guided approach, we start by evaluating two key elements of our best practice: baseline and learning style. In the case of baseline, without it who's to say what's changed, for better or worse?
When it comes to learning style, this is equally important. Once you understand the current level of intellect and aptitude, understanding the impact methods and the methods that motivate, you're not really aiming. Rather you're just trying different things hoping things will improve for the student.
This is why the SphereUs Guided Aim hybrid approach is so effective and egaging to students. We all enjoy learning when it's in a way where we have success and enjoy the content and the way it's delivered and who is delivering it (where who is as likely to be a person as it is a bot). They all have their place in the pantheon of successful instruction.
Bringing students back up to grade level after the pandemic, a poor start, or any setback. We take a baseline approach to set the current standard. Then we compare it to the expected level. Over time we catch the student up while pushing them to being both ahead of the curve at the end and ahead of the grade curve. So, not only are GLU students back to par with their counterparts, they are lading their class. Playing games and game theory keeps the attention of the student while they learn. If they're tired from a lack of sleep and an early morning or from sitting in class all day already, gaming pumps the kids back up and gets them ready for a successful school day or relaxing evening.
